1. What is a Boudoir Session?
Boudoir is an empowering, fun, and liberating experience! It is a luxury level of photoshoot, offering full hair, makeup, wardrobe, and posing direction to create gorgeous, sexy, badass photos of yourself! Every woman deserves to experience a Boudoir Session at least once in their lifetime.
2. What if I'm insecure? I've never done this before!
That's okay! Everybody has their insecurities. After photographing people for numerous years, I've found plenty of ways to work around them to your advantage! I aim to accentuate your assets to make you feel confident and happy with both our Session and the end result. Every woman deserves to celebrate herself through gorgeous images and invigorating experiences.
3. What do I wear for a Boudoir shoot?
I offer a full Client Closet for all of my sessions, with sizes ranging from XS-3X. The day of your Session, we'll go through the various wardrobe options, choosing pieces that flatter your shape, skin tone, and style. I want you to wear what makes you feel like the absolute best, most badass person in the room! Point blank, period.
4. Should I get a manicure before the shoot?
Paint your nails a solid color, or keep them bare! If you'd like to get a professional mani + pedi, that's definitely a bonus to the session, and a great way to treat yourself leading up to your Session! Although, if you cannot ensure that you'll have a matching, solid color on both your hands and toes, it is best to leave your nails bare and clean cut. Any chips, cracks, or polish stains warrant extra editing fees from myself, and most Boudoir photographers in general.
5. Do I need to bring any lingerie?
Glad you asked! I request that my clients always bring their favorite solid color, matching lingerie set, plus a black thong or g-string. It helps to start your Session with a set you're already confident in to get comfortable in front of the camera! The black thong is to wear underneath any of the bodysuits or bottoms in the Client Closet (Don't worry, I always remove any lines in retouching).

6. Do you offer Prints or Albums?
I provide personalized Print Boxes, custom Albums, Wall Art, along with other options. Additionally, I offer Collections, which combine your Session Fee with different products for you to get the ultimate value. Many items are available a-la-carte, yet my Clients do fall in love with their images, and typically prefer to invest in Collections to unlock specific add-ons, and receive certain products.
7. What is Vixens VIP? Do I have to book with you to join?
Vixens VIP is a private Facebook group for past, and future Boudoir clients. There is no fee for membership, and you do not have to have booked with me to join (unless you're a fellow photographer)! We're a like-minded group of strong, courageous women who love to build one another up, share our triumphs, and sometimes just chat about life. Unleash your inner Vixen, join us today!
8. What's the average price of a Boudoir experience? Is it expensive?
When it comes to pricing any photographer, the rate varies widely across the board. That's because we all have different art styles, creative backgrounds, world perspectives, educations, and experiences. I will admit, I find a lot of truth in the saying, 'You get what you pay for'. A good photographer may seem expensive to the average individual. Behind the scenes, we constantly update props and materials, while maintaining a studio, camera equipment, electronics, and paying taxes along with other expenses. Photography is not our hobby, rather our businesses and livelihoods. As artists, we put our entire heart into creating a one of a kind experience for you from the moment you arrive at your shoot, to when your artwork is finally in your hands. It's okay to live a little, splurge sometimes, and treat ourselves - especially when supporting local artists and businesses in the process. Personally, I offer payment plans to make Boudoir Sessions possible for everyone!
9. Do I need to do anything the morning of our Session?
I ask that all of my clients arrive with dry, freshly washed hair and a clean, moisturized face. This helps my hair and makeup artist to get you ready as soon as you arrive. If your hair is still wet, you will be charged an additional fee to cover your blow-dry. If you are coming with your hair already styled, please specify this beforehand.
10. What should I do to prepare myself the week before our Session?
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate - it's a good form of self-care and it makes your skin glow! Try to stay away from any foods that make you feel heavy or bloated, it always helps to feel your best. Don't overexert yourself, just stick to your normal levels of exercise and activity. Pick out the lingerie you'll bring, and decide on your nails. Otherwise, just enjoy your daily life, and get excited for your upcoming Boudoir shoot! See you soon, gorgeous!
